I do want information, that much is true. But contrary to my fellow Chosen, I don't intend to be antagonistic -- though I ask that you forgive them. It's a reasonable response to our captivity without trial. But I'd like to get to know you as well, considering your role in our lives as the Council's liason.
[ He tucks his hands behind his back, looking as though he's going for an afternoon walk instead of marching towards what is undoubtedly an unpleasant sentencing. ]
[ From the way Claude is walking, he knows exactly how to get to where they need to be, the little shit. But his bearing is pleasant and light, so even if he is a liar, at least he's a charming one. ]
I used to be in something of a position of power back home as well, you know. If we went around personally escorting everyone around, we'd never get anything done. But I'm not wanting to get to know you as the decision-maker. In fact, that may make you even more interesting.

How do you like the new city? What are your thoughts on it? It's as dramatic a change as I could have ever imagined.

[ He turns to Jerry, a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. ] But I am curious. Do you believe our crimes are as bad as all that? In need of punishment? I speak not only of myself. The longer you live, the more mistakes you make, as I'm sure you well know. But I'm acquainted with a girl who must be barely thirteen, if that. Do you agree with your bosses that she's worthy of such detainment?
